◆ Overnight Stay

Antebellum Mansion & Stables

Wake up in a 180-year-old estate. Horses graze the morning mist.

Some properties carry nearly two centuries of history in their timbers — and a helicopter is still the finest way to arrive.

Lift off from Thaden Field in Bentonville and trade the interstate for a sweeping flight south over ridge country. The estate announces itself before you land: a colonnaded main house set back on a long lawn, flanked by formal gardens and the quiet geometry of a working stable yard. Touch down on the grass and step directly into a world that moves at a different pace.

This is one of the oldest surviving antebellum properties in the region — meticulously restored, privately held, and available for full estate buyout. It sits on the grounds of one of our partner equestrian stables, so the horses are right outside the door. The main house sleeps your group, a resident chef handles every meal from the evening arrival dinner through to a late-morning send-off, and the grounds are yours to wander at will. No other guests. No shared spaces. Just the estate, the silence, and whatever the kitchen has decided to do with local provisions.

At first light the stable yard comes alive. A wrangler has the horses ready before breakfast — a slow ride through the bottom-land mist that no highway could ever deliver. The helicopter returns to collect you mid-morning, and the whole experience folds into a single night away from Bentonville.
